Job Role: Tailor

A Tailor is responsible for altering staffuniforms and repairing guest items to deliver an excellent Guestand Team Member experience while liaising with laundry suppliersand ensuring a uniform deposit system is in place.
As a Tailor, you are responsible for altering staffuniforms and repairing guest items to deliver an excellent Guestand Team Member experience. A Tailor will also be requiredto liaise with laundry suppliers and ensure a uniform depositsystem is in place. Specifically, you will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Check uniforms for cleanliness and condition,carrying out minor repair work, if required
- Alter uniforms to fit team members whererequired
- Ensure support is provided to thelaundry function when required
- Complete washcycles, folding of linen and correct storage
- Repair guests items as required
- Provide valet service to guests
- Liaise with laundry suppliers and dry cleaners on thecleaning of uniforms
- Assist new staff withuniforms, ensuring correct paperwork in place
- Ensure uniform deposit system in place withFinance
- Ensure outgoing uniform is controlled,including new and current team members
- Carryout uniform stock takes as requested
- Ensurepar stocks are maintained
- Ensure soiled anddamaged linen is stored in soiled bags and disposed ofcorrectly
- Maintain linen room and uniformstore
- Report maintenance and hazardissues
- Comply with hotel security, fireregulations and all health and safety legislation
