We are seeking a highly experienced anddynamic individual to fill in the position of Vice President -Financial Reporting who can supervise their finance team and managethe consolidation and provision of group-wide statutory andregulatory reporting.Client DetailsOur client is a globalinvestment company based in the UAE.DescriptionCollaborating withPlatform Finance teams to manage the preparation, consolidation andsubmission of financial and statutory reports. Ensure compliancewithin investee companies in order to consolidate reliable,transparent and high-quality asset-level data into group-widefinancial disclosuresPlay a leading role in partnering withbusiness units, regions, business partners and/or corporate tomanage major aspects of financial reporting (e.g. budgeting,forecasting, strategic planning, target setting)Develop statutoryreporting frameworks and procedures and guide the implementation atthe platform level in accordance with international FinancialReporting Standards (IFRS). Work with Technical IFRS team to updateAccounting policies on an annual basisIdentify opportunities forcontinuous improvement of financial reporting systems, policies,processes and practices taking into account 'internationalleading practice' in order to improve business productivityand operational efficiencyWork alongside regulators and maintaincontact with external auditors to understand statutory reportingrequirements and resolve significant audit issuesEnsure that allfunctional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meetgroup requirements, policies and quality standardsAlways maintainstrict Financial Controls, ensuring compliance with policies,procedures, and delegation of authority. Ensure team members complywith all functional policies, processes, standard operatingprocedures and instructions so that work is carried out in acontrolled and consistent mannerWork with Financial Governance teamto ensure policies related to Financial Reporting are kept up todateGuide financial reporting team members on matters relating tofinancial reporting and reporting processes to bring in maximumefficiencyProfileA minimum of a Finance or accounting RelateddegreeA professional accounting qualificationA minimum of 12years' experience in a large-scale organization withcomplex business operations or experience working across variousindustriesExpert knowledge of IFRS implementation in variousorganizations and sectorsExperience working alongside and creatingreports for senior management and board membersStrong knowledge ofaccounting practices, international financial regulations anddisclosure requirementsKnowledge of ERP platforms (Oracle,Hyperion) is an advantageIn addition, the best candidate must be aflexible and adaptable character, who is highly driven to achievesuccess, but has a strong understanding of people both personallyand professionally.
