Senior Civil Engineer

Duties

• Coordinating internal resources and contractors to execute construction works
• Overseeing installation works and ensuring schedule and quality requirements are met
• Compiling and submitting permit applications to relevant authorities, verifying that projects comply with various regulations
• Overseeing the results of soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations
• Preparing cost estimates for materials, equipment and labour to determine project budget requirements
• Performing surveying operations to establish building locations, site layouts, reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
• Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Participating in tender process to outsource work packages
• Identifying and managing risks to minimise impact on project delivery

Requirements

• At least 10 years would be preferable
• Civil engineering educational background
• Proven working experience as a civil engineer in the construction industry
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in civil works
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
