Summary: Manages recruitment and job placement activities by carrying out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, administering tests, checking references and background, assisting with international student and visa sponsored placement and evaluating applicant qualifications for Hotel departments as assigned by the Employment Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Thoroughly reviews applications, screens and selects candidates to interview for open positions

• Participates in on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs and employer panels on a local and national level

• Oversees the extern, intern programs.

• Conducts monthly staffing meetings with key department heads and executive committee members

• Administers internal posting procedures to counsel employees on internal opportunities

• Completes I-9 paperwork and assists with I-9 Audits

• Maintains and updates the job openings list

• Consults with management to prepare staffing budgets, projections, and employment policies, procedures, and practices

• Assists with wage surveys

• Facilitates New Hire Paperwork for Orientation and oversees the onboarding process

• Develops and maintains recruiting sources on a local and national level

• Prepares new hire packets to include: Background Checks, Reference Checks, Driving Agreements, and government forms

• Maintains relationships with temporary staffing agencies and assists managers with temporary staff as needed

• Monitors ROI by maintaining applicant tracking and other sources of data

• Oversees the activities of an HR Intern

• Creates and submits advertisements for print, radio, and online sources

• Ensures accuracy of on-line postings on The Broadmoor website and other platforms

• Coordinate with Employment Manager to develop training plans and up-to-date recruitment materials including available positions

• Create and send initial and formal offers to international students

• Update all incoming student data in Recruitment database/master list

• Communicate with incoming international students and respond to all inquiries

• Assists the Employee Housing Manager with projects and oversee employee housing as needed

• Keep department managers apprised of students' arrivals, delays, and visa sponsorship problems

• Track required transfers of 12 month students, notify managers at least 2 weeks prior to transfer date, complete paperwork and enter transfers

• Arrange for timely visits to the Social Security office: accompany students to the office

• Assist with H2B preparation, arrival and departure activities and functions

• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and the International & Domestic Recruiting Manager

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Human Resources and knowledge of employment law is preferred. Experience in recruitment in the hospitality industry preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Able to provide presentations to students, applicants, and other.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Word processing, Internet software, E-mail, Database software
