NES Fircroft is currently looking for a Maximo Planner / Scheduler for a 12 month contract based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Supporting one of our key oilfield service clients, you would be required to use your expertise in the planning, maintenance and safety fields, to prepare and schedule maintenance work in your area and assist management in decision making, whilst continuously seeking to improve the systems to optimise the planning process.Additionally, you will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of the CMMS system for all assets onsite, enabling the preparation, optimisation and scheduling of all the preventive, planned and major maintenance work onsite to a minimum of one week in advance.Essential Responsibilities:• Apply the EHS principles in the framework of the maintenance programme• Management of CMMS Maximo Work Management Process - including upload, datasheet, job plan & PM creation for all production, facility & calibration assets• Clarify with Asset Leaders that the necessary inspections and investigations are undertaken to determine the scope of each work order and Elaborate the work plans (operational requirements, PTW etc.), including estimating the labour and material resources required for each work order• Develop and maintain Tactics Database comprising CMMS maintenance plans and BOM's for the assigned equipment in conjunction with Reliability Leader• Forecast the Preventive Maintenance requirements for inclusion into the Annual/Quarterly manufacturing plan• Organise the procurement of required services/materials for planned work, receive the materials and log the service reports against the appropriate Contractor PM's• Manage and coordinate the weekly workload according to the priorities, business needs, and resource availability, and produce a maintenance schedule of work• Organise and host the weekly pre-scheduling & scheduling meetings• Perform a post-mortem review with the Asset Leaders of the work performed to follow up on any gaps between estimated/actuals, and incorporate lessons learnedPrincipal Accountabilities:• Management and accuracy of the CMMS Maximo system, including creation/de-commissioning of Assets and physical tagging of all assets• Maximo Site Administrator, supporting Maintenance, Facilities, Machine Shop, Fabrication and QC Calibration• Implementing and maintaining the planning/scheduling guidelines• Maintain relevant Maximo reports and maintenance performance measures in line with team and business requirements and produce weekly/monthly performance metricsQualification/Requirements:• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences, including suppliers and contractors• Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience• Ability to raise Purchase Requisitions and chase through Purchase Orders for timely delivery of parts for maintenance• Ability to manage capacity planning and record technicians' holidays within MaximoDesired Characteristics:• Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written)• Self-motivated, self-starter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities• Proficiency in software applications MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
