Primary purpose of role Energy24 Limited (E24), part of the px Group, is active across a range of gas and electricity activities within the UK wholesale and retail energy markets. Through its trading arm and associated supply company, Coulomb Energy Supply Ltd (CESL), the business offers various highly valued services to existing energy industry participants, including other suppliers, large I&C end users and owners of critically important natural gas and electricity infrastructure. The Settlements Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that the Settlement Department delivers timely, effective and accurate solutions across all E24 and CESL business areas enhancing our customer's capabilities and E24's reputation. Major duties: Working as part of an effective settlements team, ensure that confirms covering gas and electricity trades are issued and returned as necessary, in line with prevailing EFET, GTMA or NBP terms. Work collaboratively to issue weekly and monthly trading settlement statements to E24 and CESL customers. Consolidate the various prices, rates and volumes in producing monthly customer supply statements for issue to CESL gas and electricity customers. Show effective time management skills in balancing daily tasks with wider department responsibilities. Act as a first point of escalation for customer and industry queries, displaying a willingness to be pro-active and an awareness of when to escalate more complex or significant impact queries. Validate industry cost invoices received from various industry bodies – National Grid, Elexon, Xoserve, DNO and GDN's, LCCC, EMRS, OFGEM,. Populate monthly portfolio monitoring reports based on internal templates for the gas and electricity supply businesses, reconciling costs against sums recovered from customers. Be prepared to engage with cross company working groups as part of ongoing projects and business functions within the wider px Group. Play a role in the commercial settlement of various utilities at a large UK chemicals park. Maintain good levels of UK gas and electricity industry knowledge. In turn, supporting the department and the wider px Group businesses with knowledge and industry insight. Work with the appropriate members of E24 to develop and improve existing systems and processes.
