Ensure that global policies, instructions, training, and tools related to Sustainability and the Environment are implemented effectively within Local Division.Interpret Global Sustainability Strategy for local implementation e.g. carbon neutrality, circularity.Engage with stakeholders to identify their needs and expectations relating to sustainability and help the business deliver these requirements.Work with UK Energy Industries implementation teams to realize sustainability benefits and develop case studies of how these are being achieved on contracts.Support UK Energy Industries with Sustainability, Environment, Material/substances, and Energy compliance matters.Support implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and the ABB Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Sustainability Management SystemEngage UK Energy Industries colleagues to raise the profile and awareness of environmental and sustainability risks and opportunities.Support UK Energy Industries Local Division to identify & realize opportunities relating to sustainable business premisesMonitor measurements for key Sustainability/Environmental metrics.Identify industry best practice relevant to UK Energy Industries Division and develop proposals for improvementsSupport other tasks within the Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability function as required Requirements, Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Essential:Master's degree in environmental management or sustainability related subjectUnderstanding of environmental & energy management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 50001)Graduate Dissertation in a relevant subject area e.g. Energy efficiency programs, carbon footprint evaluation and reduction, circularity.Understanding of waste reduction and resource efficiencyFamiliarity with environmental legislation within the UKUnderstanding of environmental assessment/analysis tools like LCA, EIAFluent in English, other languages are an added advantageProficient in Microsoft applications: Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel etc.Strong communication and presentation skillsAbility to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations Desirable:Previous work experience within an environmental or sustainability fieldGraduate Membership of a relevant Professional Body e.g. IEMA Other:Available to start 1st September 2021Eligible to work in the UKWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
