Compensation: $18.05/hr plus Shift Differential

Provides support to the facility through monitoring and reporting of daily production line activities as directed by the FSQR Supervisor. Position assures compliance to quality and regulatory aspects of production through various forms of auditing in comparison to Cargill and Customer expectations. Position acts as consumer and customer advocate in supporting quality and wholesome food production.

Principal accountabilities

• Perform routine quality and food safety checks for product integrity
• Ensure product quality and food safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained by all associates
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and specifications of process
• Enforce and audit Good Manufacturing and Good Hygiene Practices
• Evaluation and verification of production practices that ensure quality products
• Pulls samples for micro and completing chemistries, understands FOSS and accurately records results
• Swabs equipment for environmental program
• Verification of HACCP checks and production checks on the plant floor
• Complete audits of room temperatures daily
• Complete additional audits as necessary (ex: Clerical Tool Audit, Hair Audit, etc.)
• Complete Inventory Transaction Forms as needed
• Place product on hold/release product as necessary to meet customer requirements
• This position can be promoted to supervisory/management level position with experience and superior initiative
• The ideal candidate has flexibility to work alternate hours on day shift or night shift as necessary
• Weekend work will be required as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Right towork in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, etc.)
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, write and speak English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• 2-4 years of experience in quality control
• HACCP experience and training
• Previous experience in a food production plant
• Computer software experience in MS Office applications
