Compensation: $27.55 hourly
Shift: 3rd shift
Principal accountabilities
- Completing preventative, predictive, reactive, and precision industrial maintenance throughout the facility
- Documenting all completed work and the conditions found; utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various components and systems including conveyors, fans, pumps, belt and chain drives, and process machinery
- Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms
- Interacting on a regular basis with peers and management
- Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, as well as lifting/rigging equipment
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Must be able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Preferred
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
- Able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting and fabrication
- Prior experience operating a forklift
- Prior experience in production related work
