The Grid Automation Service Business is a growing busy organisation and the successful candidate must be a proven performer in a high pressure, fast turnaround environment and a team player. The successful candidate must display integrity, leadership and good communication skills.
ABB Service Contract / Project Manager shall take full responsibility for the successful and safe execution of Grid Automation projects to budget and programme.
Tasks
The primary role is to take full responsibility for the successful and safe execution of Service Level Agreements and Projects to budget and programme in the Power Grid, Grid Automation Service business serving the UK power utilities sector.
Various forms of SLA will require management along with upgrade, refurb and commissioning projects.
This will require the development of a detailed understanding of the scope of work and the commercial, contractual and Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Integrity (QHSEI) requirements and implications for each project. Additional duties are:
To support Tendering in the order pursuit process (helping to develop capture and execution strategy)
Achieve clarity of expectation throughout the demand and supply chain.
Manage changes in the scope (and the associated commercial aspects) driven by client, internally or the supply chain
To work closely with the Engineering Team Lead to ensure resource is allocated correctly.
Establish and motivate the service team (including resources from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality HSE and Supply Chain)
To work alongside the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager to assist in the growth of the business
Represent ABB at all key project delivery meetings i.e. the principal point of contact with the client for projects
Manage the financial and commercial aspects of SLA's and projects including reporting the current and forecast financial status, risks and opportunities, and project cash flows.
Requirements
Essential
· Microsoft office proficient, for Excel, Word, Power point
· Good interpersonal and communication skills. Desirable
· SAP knowledge
· Microsoft Project
· Recognised PM certification
