Job Title: Technical Author/Publications (outside of IR35)
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucester, GL10 3TA
Rate: Negotiable (PAYE OR Limited rate)
Duration: 6 months+
Residency: UK
The Role:
Our Engineering client is seeking a Technical Publications/Author candidate to be based in Stonehouse, Glos, GL10. The successful candidate will join our clients busy publications teams to ensure our customers have documentation for their extensive product range.
Technical Author/Publications duties:
Creating technical documents and incorporating changes and updates when required.
Maintaining relationships with business service providers.
The Technical Publications candidate will manage the review and approval process for updates to publications.
Writing technical content for a wide range of publications from detailed technical Data Sheets to comprehensive Case Studies.
The role will be to liaise with internal departments and supporting continuous improvement.
Skills:-
The Technical publications/Author candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:
A background within a technical publications/Author role
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a technical subject or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a publications-related role
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
The ability to provide accurate and concise written and verbal communications.
Experience using InDesign, Illustrator software
The ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
