Position Title:  Certification Program Development Expert

Reports To:  Technical Director

Compensation:  $70,000 - $85,000, depending on experience

Location:  Negotiable: All Alliances Management team members work virtually

Term:  Full-time

Dedication:  Expected 40 hours/week

Travel:  10%, domestic and international

Responsibilities:

Candidate will support Alliances Management clients by working with internal and external teams to create high-quality policy and procedure documentation for certification programs in development, create applications and forms to support operational needs, and maintain active program documentation.

For new certification programs, this role supports all aspects of the development, including initial brainstorming with SMEs, defining project timelines and deliverables, creating documentation, and coordinating all required approvals for launch. For existing programs, this role maintains the programs by updating the documentation and procedures as necessary.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience defining Operational Policy and Process Documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Experience working in a member-driven standards organization, where member working groups are the primary stakeholder for deliverables
  • Experience in Technical Writing and Editing
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of HTML and Markdown
  • Experience with Git and GitHub
  • Ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
  • Ability to work well in a “matrix” organization that requires answering to different managers and working with individuals across different parts of the company
  • Familiarity and experience working with business professionals from different cultural backgrounds, and flexibility to support meetings across time zones
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and a team player—both with managers and colleagues
  • Native English speaker

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Structured XML or LaTeX
  • Project Management experience
  • Degree in English, Communications, or Engineering
  • MBA
