As Engineering Manager (m/f/x) at Coya, you will lead one of our awesome tech squads and support the team to develop, grow and improve on best practices, maintain focus and build a great product.
Your Role:
Develop people from your squad through coaching, mentoring and feedback Help align engineers in your squad and give guidance towards achieving goals and maintaining focus
Help develop and evangelize great engineering practices in the team Facilitate collaboration, communication and decision-making between different engineering squads and business stakeholders/PMs
Support the VP Engineering in tech strategy, process definition and other possible topics when it is required
Work with our recruiting team to attract, onboard and retain diverse top talent
Main requirements
Min. 2+ years experience in mentoring and direct people management in technical teams
5+ years of software development experience
Proficient in one backend and/or frontend technology and best practices to be able to understand and challenge your team in technical discussions
Able to manage multiple stakeholders successfully
Passionate about business results and people not just technical excellence Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
Experience developing projects in a microservice architecture
Prior experience in startup environments
Experience with various technologies
