As Engineering Manager (m/f/x) at Coya, you will lead one of our awesome tech squads and support the team to develop, grow and improve on best practices, maintain focus and build a great product.
Your Role:
- Develop people from your squad through coaching, mentoring and feedback Help align engineers in your squad and give guidance towards achieving goals and maintaining focus
- Help develop and evangelize great engineering practices in the team Facilitate collaboration, communication and decision-making between different engineering squads and business stakeholders/PMs
- Support the VP Engineering in tech strategy, process definition and other possible topics when it is required
- Work with our recruiting team to attract, onboard and retain diverse top talent
- Min. 2+ years experience in mentoring and direct people management in technical teams
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficient in one backend and/or frontend technology and best practices to be able to understand and challenge your team in technical discussions
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders successfully
- Passionate about business results and people not just technical excellence Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing projects in a microservice architecture
- Prior experience in startup environments
- Experience with various technologies
