For our new subsidiary AdNovum Portugal in Lisbon, we are currently recruiting Senior Software Engineers / Team Leaders. As Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader, your role will be to help us build tailored software solutions for customers with very demanding requirements. Besides leading the local development team with software engineers and testers your main focus will be on software engineering.
In your daily work, you will
define and assign tasks to team members, track progress, mitigate risk, clarify questions, eliminate impediments
collaborate with other AdNovum employees in cross-functional and international teams to achieve goals
develop effective solutions for complex business problems in various industries
integrate new components and technologies into existing software systems and architectures
work on all layers of the software stack (web and mobile UI, business layer, database)
create automated tests and perform bug fixes
mentor and support less experienced colleagues
Main requirements
A university degree (MSc/BSc) in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 6+ years of professional experience developing Java EE application
Exceptional trouble-shooting, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in team leading
The willingness to take on demanding tasks in a supportive team
A firm understanding of design methodology and a keen interest in new technologies and methods
Working knowledge of web development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Knowledge of database/SQL development
Good communication skills in English
Already based in Lisbon
Nice to have
Experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android (Apache Cordova (PhoneGap), AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, etc.)
