SafeBoda has built a large motorcycle-taxi (commonly known as the boda boda in East Africa) community that is bringing safety, trust and professionalization to an informal industry that is vital to the livelihoods of millions of drivers and passengers across the rapidly growing cities of East and West Africa.
Based in Kampala, Nairobi, Lagos and Barcelona, we are a company that is already having huge impact for millions in East Africa. In November 2018, SafeBoda was announced among the 2018 AppsAfrica award winners at an event held in Cape Town and we beat four startups from Nigeria and South Africa to become the Best African App .
What you will do
Guide the creation of scope and detailed requirements for projects, including facilitating requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders, ensuring requirements are documented, and managing the requirements through the life of the project.
Serve as a dedicated team member with the primary responsibility to support the team and successfully achieve daily iteration, release goals, and delivery objectives.
Implement and enforce Scrum principles and practices, facilitate continuous improvement (CI), and identify and remove team impediments.
Facilitate the team for better creativity and improve the efficiency of the development team.
Continuously facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance and continuously improve agile practices.
Responsible to remove the impediments for the scrum team.
Support the Product Owner with documentation of User Stories and Acceptance criteria and making the product backlogs in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
Arranged daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
Responsible to Conduct retrospective meetings.
Acts as safeguard for the team.
Actively participate in driving continuous improvement of the organization's project management processes and standards.

Casual dress code
Main requirements
Certified Scrum Master (CSM / PSM)
2+ Years of Agile experience (User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games)
Experience facilitating, preparing, and leading agile process events including agile planning, demo / sprint review, and collaborative design sessions; experience prioritizing tasks and mitigating road blocks.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence project management software
Excellent communication skills
