QFM is a small family-run digital media company swiftly approaching its fourth year in business. Currently, we have several freelance opportunities and contract-writing positions that need to be filled right away.
As a provider of creative content solutions to customers around the world, as well as in our own online-endeavors, we pride ourselves in every project and contract completed.
We don’t just crunch words, we craft them. Each piece of content created by our team is a joint effort that passes through several people’s hands before making it online.

What we want from you:
- A can-do attitude
- Respect for deadlines
- Clear and honest communications via email regularly (occasionally a chat or video conference may be necessary)
- Excellent understanding of the English language
- Willingness to use tools such as Grammarly, Google Docs, WordCounter.net, and TitleCase.com
- Some level of experience writing for websites, blogs, or news sites (candidates with proven experience will be given our first considerations)
- The ability to follow outlines precisely and stick to projected wordcounts (our assignments are very much outline and wordcount oriented)
- A desire to be part of a highly functional team (as well a maintaining a high level of independence)
- The ability to work at your own pace without missing deadlines and gumming up the teams progress on projects (within our guidelines and agreements – our average turn around time is 2 to 3 days on a 1,500-word piece)
- An active PayPal account for receiving payments for work completed (we pay every two weeks like clockwork).
- Acceptance of our standard initial pay rate of $15 per hour (or an equivalent rate for price per word)

Requirements for applying to this job:
- Strong English writing skills
- Knowledge or willingness to learn and use Google Documents and Google Sheets
- Willingness to use Grammarly or Hemmingway to check completed work
- Ability to complete multiple 1,000 to 2,000+ word articles per week
- The discipline to meet deadlines and stay in touch over the course of the workweek
- PayPal for bi-weekly payments for all completed work
