Job Summary Act as Environmental focal point for UK Operations with responsibility for identification and management of environmental risks and compliance, and continuous improvement. Being an active member of the HSSE team to deliver Client's overall Environmental strategy and business objectives. Providing UK management and staff with support, expertise, direction and guidance regarding environmental compliance and ensuring the highest standards and environmental performance are adhered too. Working alongside the UK business teams, responsible for the ongoing development of a positive culture to effectively deliver excellence in HSSE. Support the company in meeting industry and government Net Zero targets to reduce carbon emissons and reporting of environmentally metrics for ESG compliance. Roles and Responsibilities Describe the key responsibilities and outputs of the job in order of importance. Describe the job's scope, such as area of influence, geographic scope of operations, etc. This role has the following responsibilities and outputsProvide day to day Environmental support and advice to all aspects of the UK BusinessManage and maintain environmental regulatory compliance processes and permitry including environmental risk and compliance registers required for the UK business across Operations/Well Engineering/Exploration and Major Projects business functionsMaintain awareness of existing and developing environmental legislation and company StandardsSupport environmental regulatory/industry/agency bodies and stakeholders to ensure legislative and industry compliance.Represent the Company at industry and corporate environmental forums.Support pre-qualification and tender evaluation review processes of prospective suppliers from an environmental perspectiveMaintain environmental performance monitoring/reporting and associated toolsAssist in incident investigation as appropriate including the review of Incident ReportsEnsure lessons learned are disseminated throughout Company using Client and industry lessons learned or safety alertsParticipate in operational risk assessments and / or HAZOPs, HAZIDs, ENVID'sEnsure the management of the Environmental elements of the audit schedule are in line with the agreed audit assurance plan.Contribute to in-house environmental training, development and competency assessment of UK personnel ensuring that the appropriate level of environmental awareness is deliveredSupport the company in meeting industry and government Net Zero targets to reduce carbon emissons and reporting of environmental metrics for ESG compliance. HSEQ ResponsibilitiesFamiliarise with the Client Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards;Familiarise with the Client Management System and its meaning for day-to-day work;Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR);Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions;Know their roles and responsibilities;Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Client;Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose.
