RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plays the Key Developer and Software Architect roles, and usually also performs a Development Team Lead:

• Propose suitable technical solutions that solve customer's needs. Can provide correct arguments why a given solution should be chosen, and able to propose alternative approaches
• Provide deep SFCC, eCommerce domain, enterprise architecture, and related ecosystem (i.e. app exchange apps, related 3rd party tools) thought leadership
• Partner closely with COE Lead on Go-to-Market strategy and offerings to ensure are customer-centric and compelling revenue drivers
• Closely align with Salesforce Product team(s) to both receive and provide guidance and platform thought leadership within the ecosystem
• Inform and help drive innovation for Salesforce Commerce COE via ideas for accelerators, offerings, optimizations and efficiencies
• Answer the question of what the cost of a mistake is and how to mitigate risks
• Solve technical and non-technical impediments that prevent a successful individual work or the entire teamwork. A successful troubleshooter
• Plan own work effectively and do correct prioritization. Uses self-management techniques (e.g. meeting planning, task prioritization, time management)
• Uses team leadership techniques (e.g. motivation, delegation, development, resolving conflicts, communication, discipline) on team members
• Knows strengths and weaknesses of team members, communicates the shared vision within the team
• Be able to provide examples with proposing technical solutions or enhancements from experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced levels of skills related to Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud technology skill
• Designing system components or whole solutions. Able to explain pros and cons of proposed solutions
• Knows architecture styles (e.g. SOA, event-driven architecture, microservices)
• Able to fully describe design patterns used on a project, and able to compare these patterns
• Able to explain the non-functional requirements on the current and previous projects
• Able to explain which decisions were made on the projects, which other options or alternatives were considered and why chose the given one. Able to explain which criteria were used
• Has experience in writing technical documentation according to best practices
• Able to create unambiguous and "easy to understand" software engineering diagrams
• Have participation experience in pre-sales and discovery activities as technical experts
• Knows theory and can implement SDLC phases, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall, etc. in a team. Can compare them and evaluate which is better for a specific project
• Can organize teamwork and get things done
• Has experience in setup or enhancement of development process according to best engineering practices, with at least one example
