My client in Hampshire are recruiting for a Back-charge coordinator on a contract basis. Rates negotiable. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Brief Job Description: The Back-charge Coordinator is to coordinate the assessment, progression and closure of supplier back-charges whilst also being actively involved in the process and providing contractual advice where required. Job Specification and requirements: Coordinate the investigation and pursuit of supplier back-charges with the Commercial Team, Project Teams and Procurement to ensure there is no duplication and information is shared accordingly to aid in back-charge recovery. Determine priority back-charges to ensure the recovery of monies before purchase orders are closed and / or warranties have expired. Investigate and pursue potential supplier back-charges with the aim of recovering any funds expended by Project. This involves calculating the back-charge value, ensuring a technical review is carried out by Engineering and the Commercial Team Technical Manager, collating all relevant back-up documentation, agreeing the verified back-charge value and logging the back-charge in the Back-charge Log, attending conference calls / negotiation meetings with suppliers as required, responding to supplier queries, progress to recovery and close-out. Drafting correspondence on behalf of Procurement to make sure the pursuit of back-charges is in accordance with the Contract. Where appropriate PROJECT Legal is consulted in the drafting Provide support to Commercial Team and PROJECT Legal in collating supporting documentation for legally privileged and confidential back-charges/potential claims, preparation of material to be used in supplier engagements, ensuring dedicated restricted claim folder set-up and maintaining access.
