Project Engineer - initial 12 month contract with potential for permanent employment - Based Portlethen
Our client, a provider of specialist technology, equipment & services to the global Oil & Gas sector, is currently seeking to hire a Project Engineer for an initial 12 month contract to be based onshore at their facility in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.
We are looking for someone who has held a similar position within an oilfield services company, ideally with experience in any of the following operations - filtration, fluids or pressure pumping.
Job Summary
To support the Operations Coordinator to organise and execute onshore and offshore projects from
initial sales enquiry to completion. To develop and maintain existing client relationships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Maximize sales revenue
Manage Customer Relations
Comply with Offshore QEHS procedures
Deliver quotes, proposals, procedures, diagrams, reports to strict deadlines
Co-ordinate Establish and maintain contacts with customers
Discuss job process and parameters with customers
Define technical solutions
Issue budgetary proposals to strict deadlines and following company guidelines on pricing
Create work document packs to standard specifications and to strict deadlines
Liaise with Base Operations personnel to ensure correct equipment is available and correctlyallocated to project
Prepare process flow diagrams using AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio software (Desirable)
Amend piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) on request (Desirable)
Manage project cycle until completion
Issue post-job report to clients, discuss outcomes, lessons learned, future modifications to improveService
Liaise with colleagues regarding job outcomes, lessons learned, future modifications to improveService
Produce ad hoc reports, spread sheets and other documents as required
Assist with Base Workshop Operations as and when required
Clear communication of information and queries to other Departments
Proactive future planning for Operations team
Qualifications/Experience/Position Demands
The candidate will have relevant project engineering knowledge and a clear understanding of how
to get work executed in a service company environment.
