Job duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining elastomer (rubber) material from production. Assist in the molding of rubber to obtain samples for testing. Perform qualification tests on materials including tensile, rheology, hardness, specific gravity, and any other testing required to qualify materials. Will be required to adhere to and comply with state and federal law, the company's policies, safety and environmental regulations, and the quality program requirements of API Q1 and ISO 9001:2000 as described in the company's quality program manuals.
A minimum of a high school diploma. Work experience with elastomers (rubber) is desired, but not required. Completion of college level course work in chemistry and math, a plus.
Computer literate and skills with Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word required, MS Access is desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
