My client, who are a major Oil and Gas Operator based in Paris are recruiting for a Transit / Freight Forwarding Specialist on a contract basis.
The contract will initially be based in Paris on a short term basis, before moving to a 4x4 rotation in Iraq.
Only EU citizens will be considered for this position
Role Outline
Role description
The service provider liaises with the partner/third party entities and participates in the communication and organization of the Freight Forwarding entity by performing the following activities:
- Be the focal point for all import and export activities
- Liaise with staff and partner entities and coordinate pickups, Import and export services and deliveries of materials and personal effects
- Organize and chair pre-unloading and duo/operations meetings with Technical Logistics and Customs Clearance Agents
- Liaise with airport/land/port and technical logistics on all operational matters as operational issues as necessary
- Liaise with partner entities and receiving/warehouse personnel to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Liaise with relevant local and foreign authorities for the provision of stacking space prior to stacking space prior to the arrival of shipments
- Liaise effectively with government agencies (e.g., customs, canning companies) for the purpose of obtaining permits, approvals and shipping documents

- Direct and guide foreign third parties regarding local government laws, practices and regulatory bodies, governmental agencies and practices
- Participate in shipping contracts, procedures and formulating procedures
- Maintain a company-wide accessible Freight Forwarding database,

The provider ensures the proper execution of freight forwarding processes by performing the following activities
- Execute import/export shipment operations from origin worldwide to delivery in the
- Execute import/export shipment operations from origin worldwide to delivery at company-approved receiving facilities
- Ensure an efficient container tracking system with all parties
- Participate in air/land/sea freight and customs clearance operations
- Ensure that all incoming materials are properly demarcated for easy access by customs during customs clearance processes
- Ensure that all customs clearance transactions are properly documented for easy access for easy access when shipping materials and personal effects
- Maintain record keeping filing systems and proper delineation and protection of all protection of all goods under clearance
- Ensure that all cleared materials are delivered promptly to the receiving/warehouse without delay
- Follow-up with customs agents from arrival to delivery and confirmation of arrival of shipments
- Organize, direct and supervise local transportation of materials between company locations and assist technical logistics in ensuring that local procurement delivery guidelines for materials are implemented
- Respond to Freight Forwarding alerts and notifications that may come from Partner entities or ensure final delivery of goods with Logistics and Partner Entities and clarify
- Ensure final delivery of goods with Logistics and Partner Entities and clarify the responsibilities of each actor
Provider ensures Compliance:
- Ensure compliance of Freight Forwarding processes with all internal company rules (including rules (including the subsidiary's code of conduct) and all applicable laws and regulations applicable laws and regulations (JV rules, national laws, etc.)
- Ensure that all security requirements such as certifications, identifications etc. are fully complied with in accordance with company requirements and local government regulations
- Ensure proper administration and filing of all Freight Forwarding documents in accordance with accordance with applicable procedures
The service provider adheres to H3SE rules
- Be in constant alignment with the rules, procedures, instructions and applicable legislation of the applicable legislation of the H3SE company
- Take the necessary measures to avoid an immediate threat of danger. Exercise necessary to avoid danger to persons and facilities or avoid pollution
Person Requirements
Oil and Gas/Upstream Experience is essential.
Previous Oil and Gas Operator experience is preferable.
Experience with Freight Forwarding is essential.
Fluency in French is essential.
Strong negotiation skills.
Middle Eastern experience is preferred.
