The purpose of the role:
The post holder will act as the chemical engineer for the design and modification of analytical and research scale equipment across the technology department.
The role will also contribute significantly to the operation and the
design/interpretation of experiments.
Accountabilities:
̢ۢ Contribute to the delivery of safe, compliant, and reliable experimental
operations, and supporting the SHE performance goals of the business.
̢ۢ Working closely with research and process development chemists
generate, evaluate, and demonstrate new process technology options.
̢ۢ As part of an integrated engineering team design, cost, support the build and commission research scale equipment, from lab scale to pilot plant scale.
Level of education & Experience in general
̢ۢ Degree/PhD. In chemical engineering
̢ۢ Experience within the chemical industry preferably within a
manufacturing or research environment.
Technical Skills
̢ۢ Significant experience of Management of Change and good experience within all aspects of Chemical Engineering design.
̢ۢ Able to support the design of novel experimental units working with
other scientists and engineers.
̢ۢ Proven skills in process engineering, modelling and simulation.
̢ۢ Knowledge and experience of demonstration plant scale process
operations and engineering designs
